Wall Street to the Beach - my journey to Luxury Real Estate and Fort Lauderdale Beach

My journey from working in technology stock research on Wall Street to luxury real estate on Fort Lauderdale Beach was not always my plan.  I lost my entire family (both my parents and brother) from 2017 to 2023.  I just turned 50 this year and wanted to be happier, enjoy life more, and lead a healthier active lifestyle year round.

I moved to Fort Lauderdale Beach to chase my new dream focused on luxury waterfront real estate.  I am excited about the long term investment opportunity in Fort Lauderdale Beach and the Las Olas area.  My original plan was to move to the Brickell area of Miami, but after a ride on the water taxi down the intracoastal looking at the waterfront mansions, and taking a 5 minute golf cart ride from the beach to Las Olas / Downtown I was sold on Fort Lauderdale as my new home.  Much less traffic and more relaxed than Miami, and more central location than West Palm Beach.  The beach area now has several luxury condo options: Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Conrad, W, and many more like Pier Sixty-Six, Selene Oceanfront, St. Regis Bahia Mar, Riva Residenze, and Sage Intracoastal coming soon. 

Fort Lauderdale is the #1 location in the United States for boating with over 300 miles of inland waterways, and is the yacht capital of the world!  Fort Lauderdale is rapidly transforming into the "mini Monaco" of South Florida.  Fort Lauderdale's luxury market represents better value at current prices than Miami or Palm Beach.  It is also more centrally located - you can be at all the major sports events, Hard Rock casino, and luxury shopping in under 30 minutes - all while living on a world class beach. 

No matter what your budget is, there are amazing waterfront opportunities in Fort Lauderdale.
